Opening

We will remain open as the situation and Government regulations allow. Keep an eye on availability on the bookings page of our website. In order to operate as Covid-secure in this continuing pandemic environment, and keep our guests as safe as possible, we will be taking a number of steps, and reviewing these regularly. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT IF YOU HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS OR SUSPECT YOU MAY HAVE COVID.

Check-in and Check-out
Ring the bell and we will meet you at the front door. To check out simply leave your keys in the box in the lobby on your way out. The Guest House and our house are entirely separate and divided by an internal door, which will remain closed and locked. Any enquiries – ring or text us on 07930234800.

Cleaning and Hygiene
Rooms will have been cleaned with antiviral cleaner to ensure as safe an environment as possible. Communal areas and regularly touched features such as stairs handrail and door handles will be disinfected regularly. We will be observing all necessary hygiene protocols and have completed and implemented a thorough risk assessment. Hand sanitiser will be available in the porch for use every time you enter the house; please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water before you leave your room.

Catering
Home-made bakes will be available each day via a bag in reception, and you will be provided with a generous hospitality tray to cover you for your entire stay. The Dining room will now run as normal, but please use the sanitiser before and after touching communal items. Text us for any allergen information required. All bakes may contain dairy, gluten and/or nuts and sesame. Please ask for allergen free alternatives in advance and we can provide where possible.

Rooms
We will not be doing daily room refreshes, so if you run out of anything, need any info etc., please text us with room number and requirements. If your room bins become full you will find fresh bin bags in a drawer in your room. You can use the larger bins on the landings for dry recycling and the outside bins for any full bin bags. Tap water in your rooms is safe to drink; we have some of the best drinking water in the country in Cumbrian taps! You will need to wash your own cups, glasses and spoons for reuse in your room, and remember to refill your coffee machine with cold water and empty the pod tray once you’ve had 4 cups before use! Please do not leave chargers plugged into the sockets.

Out and about

Please observe the protocols put in place by the town and local businesses while out and about. WE WOULD RECOMMEND BOOKING RESTAURANT AND PUB TABLES WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR VISIT. Text us for recommendations. 

If you feel unwell

If you experience any symptoms that could indicate Covid-19 while staying with us, please phone us immediately, and both stay in your room until we have spoken to you and agreed a plan of action to look after you and limit the spread of any virus.

Payment

Payment will be taken on arrival using the card you used to book your stay, and a receipt emailed to you. Please check via the booking system that this is the right card and is valid; if you wish to use a different card or payment method please tell us when you arrive.
