Exploring Keswick and the Lake District
Arrive in your car, park it in our car park and then leave it for the rest of your stay! Walks from the house can be as easy or as strenuous as you want. Take a walk up Castlehead or a leisurely walk around the lake or along the old railway line to Threlkeld. Choose a more strenuous walk to Walla Crag and Ashness Bridge. Buttermere via Honister Pass has many easy or more taxing walks. Try Haystacks, Wainwrights favorite peak, and enjoy the fabulous views over the surrounding countryside.
We have many maps, detailed walks and books on the area in the lounge. Please feel free to borrow these during your stay.
